The school started up in 2002. It is a combined nine-year primary school/upper secondary school with considerable pedagogic possibilities for school children with Asperger’s syndrome.
Ingridskolan is a private school (friskola) open to all applicants. We are found in Bergshamraskolan’s annexe in Solna. The school houses 60 children divided into five primary school classes and two upper secondary school classes – the Natural Science Programme with an Art, Music, Drama profile and the Art, Music, Drama Programme with an Art profile. Both include practical training (APU).
Also, Ingridskolan runs an after school youth club, and since 2005 we arrange summer camps in Idre fjäll.
All of Ingridskolan’s activities are supervised and approved by the local authorities in Solna (Solna kommun) and the administrative board in Stockholm (Länsstyrelsen). We comply with the statutory curriculum and we are not attached to any political party or church.
